The Village

Millions of refugees have escaped from Syria, now calling Lebanon home and seeking refuge. GHNI hopes to help many of them with their immediate needs, along with implementing Transformational Community Development (TCD) as they see fit. The House of Sarah primarily focuses on creating income generation options and teaching about clean water and healthy wellness habits. To do this, individuals will be trained on how to use sewing machines, using natural resources such as plants to help purify water, and attend lessons on how to improve their quality of life. In addition to these, a medical response is provided as needed to refugees.

Transformational Community Development (TCD) is a five-part coaching-based method used to create self-sustaining communities. These five parts are clean water, nutritious food, education for every boy and girl, income generation, and wellness habits. The House of Sarah serves as a training center to implement the five parts of TCD as seen fit. Clean water, health and wellness habits and income generation are the primary focus of this project.
