Young Boy Brings Helpful, Heathful Warning
August 15, 2022
Recently, we presented a lesson from the Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons on the harmful effects of smoking, and how to share what we have learnt with others. A young boy, Amahl, who has been attending development lessons for four years, shared the lesson with his father and aunt who smoked. He told them that smoking is harmful and brings disease and death. Amahl wishes that no one smokes. He said, “As I learnt, I must share..”
In Ezbet Al-Nakhl, we offered several TCD lessons, and among these lessons is a lesson on how to correctly administer an intramuscular injection. Most of the women were happy about this lesson and benefited, including a woman called Umm Youssef, who gave birth to Achile who needed daily injections requiring trips to the pharmacy. When Umm Youssef learnt she was able to help her child directly, she was relieved of these daily trips!
