Celebrating Electricity and a Wedding!
December 2, 2022

This past month, we made an Electric Transformer project in our Transformational Community Development (TCD) Worker Kurbon’s village. The villagers are very happy. We were invited to a wedding ceremony and the participants shared how much they appreciated GHNI’s help with the transformer project. Now, we can create Water and Electric Committees to work together to help the people decide the village’s greatest needs. The committees consist of three community members, and we want to make it better than it was. This will make our work in the village easier.
As it can happen when things are not advancing as fast as expected, a few villagers expressed some frustration and had difficulties trusting the whole process, particularly in the finance aspect. After explaining that the delay was due to the rainy season and that everything was all right, the villagers showed understanding. Due to this actual success, we will begin TCD lessons in this village. I think at the end of December, we will give two TCD lessons there.
Thank you!
