Satisfaction in Place of Grumbling

The Transformational Community Development (TCD) program offers lessons on grumbling and the extent of its impact on society, the family, and the individual, teaching people that it can lead to negative results in their relations with each other. Umm Jumana said, “My circumstances are difficult; my husband does not work for reasons of illness, and I work as a house cleaner a few days per week. Inside my heart, I was complaining about my life, the circumstances, and how people looked at me because I was doing this job. But after listening to the lesson at the TCD meeting, I wanted to look at myself with satisfaction, without complaining, and to be satisfied with my life and my work. I stopped comparing myself to rich women.”
