Continuing Helpful Health Education

March 10, 2023

An Attir woman doing someone's hair.

During the rainy season, there are a lot of disease outbreaks. There are a lot of infections, including malaria, which is exacerbated by failing to clear bushes around the compounds, and failure to observe cleanliness attracts many insects. Cholera is also a danger if villagers eat or drink food that is not safe.

Wellness Committee Members in Attir Village took on the role of educating the community on the importance of health during this period of the rainy season. They continued their normal routine and went door-to-door to almost three hundred households, teaching and demonstrating how community members can keep themselves safe and healthy. Mama Namoe was one of the community members who benefited from the teachings that were delivered by the Wellness Committee Members. Their teachings have really helped a lot, reducing diseases that are common during the rainy season. Mama Namoe is now happy and grateful to all who were involved in equipping the Wellness Committee Members with knowledge and skills through Transformational Community Development (TCD).

Thank you!
