Chairman of the US Board

Ed’s great business sense has benefited GHNI’s Board since 2006. With decades of experience in top hotel management positions, Ed is now President of DMP Hawaii, which he founded in 2001. He has worked with Branded and non-Branded Hotels and Condominium Resorts and overseen properties ranging from one diamond to five. Experienced with openings, management transitions both incoming and exiting, REO/distressed properties, timeshare resorts, and mixed use properties.

Ed has served the both the hotel industry and the community through a host of organizations which include leadership positions with the Maui Visitors Bureau, Hawaii Visitor and Convention Bureau, Civil Service Commission, Food Bank, Church Building Committee, and a host of others. Ed is a recognized as an innovator and creative leader.

Ed’s first involvement with GHNI was a trip to China in 2005 after which he worked with Hal Jones to find a way to use coffee as a means to serve the poor. Coffee without Borders was thus created, over which Ed presides as President. 

Ed and Colette wed in 1986, have three children, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
