Food Relief for Seventy Families

Northern Thailand TCD Expansion

This quarter, COVID-19 restrictions have prevented our team from visiting communities for development work. The government is easing measures now, and our team is developing plans with our local partners to resume community visits and training this month.

Food Relief Managed by Villagers

MH Village*, Myanmar

The situation in this Transformational Community Development (TCD) village has improved a little these days compared to the other regions in the country. There have not been severe COVID-19 cases as well as political conflicts in the area. As a result, the community members are resuming their planting and other agricultural works near the village. It is likely that the community will have their earliest harvest again before the end of this year.

A Goat Loan Programme is Starting

Sindh Province, Pakistan

Our village outreach programme is helping the community to raise the resources from their own villages. Presently, we are reaching 21 different villages to uplift the community. Our recent programmes are making a difference. FAITH (Food Always In The Home) gardens are helping the community to deal with food needs. FAITH gardens and self-help groups are providing more opportunities to share and make strong relations.

Basket Skills Produce Income

Ramantar Village, Nepal

Ramantar Village is still locked down. Public gatherings and programmes in the community are not allowed because of COVID-19. We are happy to be safe, teach, and support people. I met with them personally and continued to teach the safety measures for COVID-19. The villagers are very much aware of using masks, sanitiser, and keeping distances with other people. It has helped to minimise the risk to their family and the community.
