New Plough, New Seed

Jatapara Village, India

Last month we sowed good quality maize seed, hoping to get better yields. Usually people keep maize seed left over from the previous year of cultivation; this is the traditional way. Most of the time these stocks ended up destroyed due to a lack of care. This time we bought and sowed seeds from the seed storehouse provided by the government to see what the difference will be from the previous harvest.

Special Tastes from Their Cultures

Vocational Training Programme, Jordan

Our Vocational Training Project (VTP) continues to help the beneficiary families through our orders of their different items which carry special tastes from their cultures and home land. This helps them to generate some income which somehow helps to cover some of their expenses and financial commitments.

Warming Up to Change

Dhoker Jhara Village, India

We are working on two villages: Dhoker Jhara and Chandopani. Recently, we had a small meeting when we visited Chandopani. Initially, we were not getting a positive response, but now after some effort we met with some families who are ready to form a community and help us. Some villagers helped us by meeting with the block level person as well.
