Alhaji is one of the members of our Agriculture Group in Tuti Village. He is married and has three children. His wife, Kediga, has raised their children alone because he was a soldier. Life was very difficult until he came back home. All his children could not attend school.

Milling Grain Locally

Koubah Bingo Village, Burkina Faso

 

The Koubah Bingo community has made some progress with their income generation project--milling and grinding grains for a commercial purpose.  A machine has been purchased through a loan, a building has been done by the community, and personnel have been made available and trained. The venture is now up and running!

Um Abdallah has a new idea to improve the project and her income. She suggested replacing sixteen goats with twenty-six sheep, as they are better than goats in producing milk. Sheep's milk is also more expensive and that will make a good income for her when she sells the milk.
