Profitable Harvest on the Way!

Didi Hara Village, Ethiopia

It’s been a very good rainy season in Didi Hara Village. This brought great happiness in the community, as most of the community is engaged in raising animals. If they miss one rainy season, they will lose everything. This year was great for them.

Achieving the Goal

Koubah Bingo, Burkina Faso

Mainasara and Fatima had quite a lot of work done within the last quarter. The milling machine has been of immense benefit to the locals since it was set up and the accounts put together. Mainasara and the Income Generation Committee keep ensuring that the accounting is done properly, and that every participant of this Income Generation programme is issued a membership card that records how much is paid each time they use the milling machine.

Learners Who Became Teachers

Women’s Empowerment Centre, Afghanistan

Latifah and Rihanna have attended our English and Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons since we started the first Women’s Empowerment Centre (WEC) in June 2018. In addition to their regular school, these girls and boys have learnt English extremely well in a very short amount of time, even better than expected.

Inspiring Others Through Hard Work

Inspiring Others Through Hard Work

Sulawesi, Indonesia

The Mawa community has moved into phase two of their water project! The excavation and tank at the source are finished, and now the community is working together to run pipes from the source into their village. Morale is high as rain has picked up after a long drought and their spring is now putting out plenty of water. The work is not done, but it is encouraging to see the community retain momentum after being tested by interpersonal conflict and lack of water.

House of Ruth, Jordan

English class

The English teacher has been teaching the children sentence building. She has been doing some spelling tests of English words by giving them 10 words every week and letting them practice for the whole week.

The children love the new English classroom, but it has been a little cold as the classroom has lots of windows, and it has been getting colder.

Bringing Hope amid Economic Tensions

Bringing Hope amid Economic Tensions
Refugees in Lebanon

*Varda and her sister *Iqala are both students at our sewing class at the House of Sarah. They live with their disabled sister, their brother, and parents in a very poor condition home. Both of the sisters attended our trauma camp in Zahle, Lebanon.

Varda is having a very hard time understanding why bad things, such as war, happens. Our team had the opportunity to talk to her and encourage her and bring hope. Now we can see her smile and hope for a better future after she finishes her sewing class.
