Villagers Learn Income Generation & Help Another Village

RM Village*, Nepal

In January 2021, I completed many activities as per plans while gathering villagers or visiting them house-to-house to share important Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons. Furthermore, I raised technical support to the community.

Villagers Learn First Aid and Human Trafficking Prevention

DG Village*, Nepal

Highlights of what I have done in Transformational Community Development (TCD) work is what I want to demonstrate here in DG Village. My major accomplishment in January was visiting people door-to-door and observing their lifestyle, work type and problems. I also discussed TCD lessons about self-sustainability with many families in DG Village to better their lives.

Pipeline to Good Health

Kiwanjani Village, Kenya

The villagers living in Kiwanjani Village have big challenges with regard to water. They go far to look for water which has been a problem for several of them. The villagers are moving from house to house to ask for water from the few who have tap water in their compound. Oftentimes, during the dry season, children fail to go to school because of the lack of water to wash their school uniforms.

Positive Feedback for the Computer Class

House of Ruth, Jordan

Computer Class

The students of this course are still completing their computer lessons and their progress is good. Therefore, the teacher was encouraged to give them some intensive lessons as he noticed that they have the ability to learn faster than others. The teacher prepared a questionnaire asking the students about the lesson and the teaching method. He wanted to know the positives and negatives to improve the way they are taught.

Health Lessons and Booklets Help Villagers

Women’s Empowerment Centre–East, Afghanistan

Winter is a good time for the students to come to English class and Health lessons. The students have little free time in the summer because they have school. About 17 new girls have joined our programme this winter. These girls are from the villages around the Women’s Empowerment Centre (WEC). They are eager to learn at the Centre.

Mother Knits Her Way to Independence

Ɖorgovska mahala, Serbia

In the past quarter, several families were infected with COVID-19 in the neighbourhood, so they were in isolation. We made short visits, just to review what they already learnt about Food, Water, Wellness, and Income Generation. We encouraged them to think about starting a microbusiness and become self-sustaining.
