Life-Giving Water Returns

Nkar, Cameroon

The community of Nkar has been living harmoniously, looking for solutions to their daily life requirements--especially clean water. In the dry season, the situation is extremely difficult as people trek over kilometres to search for the precious liquid in valley springs and puddles. This has been the burden of women and children, preventing them from actively participating in other economic ventures.

Koubah Bingo, Burkina Faso

Fatima, our Transformational Community Development (TCD) worker, engaged children between the ages of 3 and 4 with some literacy activities in Koubah Bingo in November. For most of the children, this was the first time they experienced formal education, which is a sure way to encourage transformation.

The Attir community has been improving its standard of living, day by day. The villagers here no longer depend on pastoralism or other monopolistic fields of business. These changes began after Global Hope educated them on how they could take available resources and capital and turn them into profitable businesses. Charcoal is one of the available fields of business villagers can enter to generate income and earn profits.
