Almost Ready to Open Its Doors

*Sheldon Village, Afghanistan

Work on the school is inching closer to completion. All of the doors and windows have been transported to the work site and have been installed. Furthermore, most of the school furnishings (desks, chairs, and chalkboards) have been sent from Kabul, and GHNI recently provided additional funds for the remainder of the furnishings to be transported to the school.

Since the village lies at an elevation of nearly two miles, construction season is almost over. With the construction and painting done, and most of the furniture in place, now the Ministry of Education needs to inspect the school and sign off. Once this happens, GHNI can hand off the school to the village people, but more importantly, to the students who will attend this institution of change.
