Anticipating a Successful Year of Poplar Growth

*Valley of Ali, Afghanistan

This year will be another good year for our trees. We have enough water to irrigate all the trees. They look very beautiful, especially this time of the year when the trees are bearing leaves.

The local government planned to cultivate trees in all parts of the Yakawlang district to continue the rehabilitation of the land. For many years, people eradicated bushes from the mountains to burn for fuel or heat their houses. Our Poplar trees are having a good impact in this district. Thousands of Poplar cuttings were distributed to the farmers this year, and the people like to plant this kind of tree in their fields.

Thank you,

The GHNI-Afghanistan Team
