Belittled to Beloved

*JT Village, Nepal

The Goat Loan Program started by GHNI in JT Village is spreading to other members in the community. Out of them is **Kaneila’s family is a model family in their group. She was known as the poorest member in the community. Now she has some credit in the community. Other people do not treat them like before. These days, they are loved by the community.

The relationship between teachers and the guardians has increased. Teachers have started loving their students more at the school, and parents are happy with that. Our Income Generation group members are connected with the saving and credit group. We hope that they start saving some money so it’s easier to get more loans.

All guardians have a toilet in their homes. They are aware of drinking safe water and wearing clean clothes. Sanitation lessons were helpful to them. They are aware of diarrhea and controlling fever at home.

Some of the members have started a kitchen garden and some have started commercial vegetable farming.
