Slavery Prevention

This month I got a great opportunity to give Slavery Prevention training for 65 church leaders in Dhangadhi. That program was planned by a partner organization. I simply introduced myself and talked about GHNI. I taught the definition of human trafficking, background of the far west Nepal situation, causes of human trafficking, prevention, and control.

Families Transformed

Slavery Prevention

In this month, I taught a Transformational Community Development (TCD) lesson 2b on Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention to the schoolgirls and women in the village. The women are selling mushrooms and working on the sewing project, too.

Transformational Community Development

In the first quarter of this year, we implemented our long-desired program for income generation—goat farming. From RT Village alone, five families were chosen on the degree of their poverty for the Goat Loan Program.

Spawning Mushroom Crops.

In Doke Bazaar, the mushroom farming is progressing. We have opened the mushroom bags at all three places and are now watering the crops twice a day. We are hoping for the best result. We also went to Doke Bazzar for a field visit. We taught them how to open mushroom bags and how to water properly. They were excited to see mushrooms growing, and now their hopes are high to be self-sufficient. We are trying our best to improve our community in financial matters.

Unified in Sustainable Work

Due to the nature of our work in the field, it's not always possible to provide a high quality photo. We're happy to provide a current visual of our work despite the quality.
