Building Progress

Naki Ouest Village, Togo

Okoro, who oversees the work going on in Blamonga and Tanloanga, has excitedly reported the progress made with the building projects in the two villages! The projects which commenced last year, unfortunately, have been moving at a snail’s pace due to several challenges. There is progress now, especially with the buildings in Tanloanga, which were recently roofed and the floors plastered. For Blamonga, the work is coming on as well, with the Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) latrine that has been roofed.

The Transformational Community Development (TCD) team and the locals are looking forward to the completion of the buildings and setting up of the Women’s Empowerment Centres in both villages. The women are looking forward to learning skills that will create a means of income generation. The VIP latrines, it is hoped, will curb the menace of open defecation which adversely affects the health of the people.

Thank you!
