Disaster Relief for Indonesia
Posted October 30, 2018
Last month, the Indonesian island of Sulawesi was hit by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami. Many people on the island experienced devastating loss. Over 1,900 lost their lives and another 3,000 were seriously injured. 3,000 schools were damaged, and thousands of people lost their homes.
Many parks in the area have now become camps for internally displaced people who lost their homes. GHNI is working with another local partner to provide disaster relief to these victims. We are supplying food, clean water, medical care, and other necessities, but we need your help to be able to provide effective relief. You can partner with us to provide help and a message of hope where there is very little.
