Drip Irrigation Solves Drought Problem

Tuti Village, Ethiopia

The Awash River also runs through Tuti Village and the Agriculture Group uses it to water various vegetables. They are harvesting a wide range of produce. They want to grow their farm and are building a water canal to get more water.

This canal has the potential to cover up to five hectares of land. The drought has been particularly severe in the east and south of the country, so drip irrigation is one solution for the community's many problems during this trying time. They can see how drip irrigation is the answer to surviving the drought problem they are facing.

Thank you!
