Snezana, a Transformational Community Development (TCD) trainer, continued to host home groups, where they focussed on relationships. There, they discussed how to be the best mother, wife, and neighbour possible. They also had an opportunity to work on TCD awareness and teach lessons.

Mr. Sam’s Pillowcases

Ahumbe Village, Nigeria

 

Most Transformational Community Development (TCD) activities occurred in Apir, as our TCD worker Moses explained that security reports discouraged travelling between communities.

 

The Tailoring Centre in Apir welcomed Mr Sam, who taught the students how to make throw pillowcases. The participants were enthusiastic and acknowledged that the training session was value adding.

This situation motivated Bharat, as part of Transformational Community Development (TCD), to plan Health awareness programmes where women could freely express and consult about health-related issues.

Activities and lessons surrounding good hygiene never go out of style. John, our Transformational Community Development (TCD) worker, reported Ngassa villagers were reminded of the many benefits of hygienic living, which proper handwashing is a huge part of. The villagers had a session practising proper handwashing with soap and water using the wash hand station provided in the community.
