Fishing for Self-Sufficiency

House of Esther, Armenia

GHNI Partner Volunteer Vince and Agricultural Transformational Community Development (TCD) Specialist Carlos spent May and part of June at the House of Esther (HoE) in Spitak, Armenia. Carlos specializes in self-sufficiency through fish-farm production and his expertise helped HoE progress very rapidly. In just one month, HoE obtained all the needed equipment and successfully started fish hatchlings. In addition, the team was able to obtain all needed equipment and provisions from local vendors, demonstrating the best of “local resourcing”! GHNI is proud of Vince, Carlos and the entire team for working together to overcome obstacles and develop the fish farm.
