Garden Robust with Flowers and Exhibitions

Garden of Peace and Hope, Afghanistan

Spring is an exciting time at the Garden of Peace and Hope! The gardener is preparing for the blooming season by planting flowers as well as moving flowers from the greenhouse into the garden.

We recently had a great exhibition with hundreds of visitors from different backgrounds. Specifically, government officials appreciated the exhibition conducted for International Women’s Day because of the respect and value it gives to women.

In this coming quarter, I’m looking to work with more artists and partners to help them and conduct more exhibitions at the Garden of Peace and Hope. I also look to continue our art courses in safe and appropriate places. The last two months we could not meet due to challenges with our partner.

Currently and in general, all is going well at the Garden. We are having regular exhibitions that are especially encouraging to young artists.

The National Gallery’s building is not built or repaired well, so the Ministry of Information and Culture plans to repair it through another company in the coming months. I’m trying to find a way to get the Gallery’s staff back into their offices. However, the Ministry makes the final decision on repairs and when staff can occupy their offices again.

Your engagement with the Garden of Peace and Hope is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
