Goat Farming Supports Education

Jatapara Village, India

Hope for the hopeless rose this past quarter. After long preparation for the goat farming project, the villagers could finally receive better initial financial support in the form of goats. Some were unable to send their children to the school for a good education because of lack of money. We introduced a new program to them, in which GHNI will provide them plenty of goats so that they can start a new business of animal husbandry. The profit they earn will enable them to pay the school fees for their children. They have taken to this program wholeheartedly.

We are hoping that the outcome of this program will mean great success in the near future. This will increase the literacy rate as well as improve living standards.
