Helping Her Family

Vocational Training Programme, Jordan

A new sewing project class started in December 2020 with five Jordanian women. The women are all from the village and are really interested in improving their skills and their income.

We partnered with our champion - the manager of the centre in one of the villages. The centre covers 80% of the project expenses. Our contribution was loaning two sewing machines. When the project/ class is complete, the two sewing machines will be returned to us. We also pay part of the sewing teacher’s salary.

One of the women who attends the sewing class is a housewife and has bad financial conditions. The situation is recently getting worse because of the COVID-19 crisis. She wants to learn sewing to be able to work, to have income and help her family.

Thank you,
