Building Relationships for the Future

House of Ruth, Jordan

English Class

This month’s English class was good. The teacher started to get deeper in English grammar as well as started teaching them the vowels, consonants and word pronunciation. The children were getting a little bored at the beginning, but they had fun at the end because they played a game. They will be graduating next month.

Loan Completed

Goat Loan Programme, Jordan

Al Khalideia Village

We have worked with Um Ahmad more than two and a half years. Now the project is complete and she is graduated. She was given 14 goats from the project and she has returned our 14 goats. The plan is to sell our 14 goats because they are old, and they have been used by three different families. We will buy new goats and start the project with another new family.

Thank you!

Making Learning Fun

House of Ruth, Jordan

English Class

This month we taught the children more about letters because they are so weak in the alphabet. It's a bit challenging. Their improvement is slow as they aren’t reviewing what they learnt in class when they are home, and some have been absent this month for a little while.

Diversified Production

Goat Loan Programme, Jordan

At Um Salem’s home in Muwaqqar Village, the number of goats increased as did the amount of production. She is making goat fat, milk, butter, and jameed, which is a salty thick yogurt used for the traditional Jordanian dish called mansaf. Um Salem is selling it to her neighbours and this improves her income. Now, she can buy chicken and meat for her family with the money she has earned.

Um Abdallah was preparing the sheep for the new season. She shaved their wool because the weather is very hot all over Jordan. Also, she has seven sheep which are pregnant and are supposed to give birth in the next two months.
