New Cycle for Loan Program

*JT Village, Nepal

This month our National Director, Kiran Karki, visited and talked to the president of the single women’s group to finalize the income generation program. They were ready to call the meeting and discussed what to do for income generation. Sushil Bhatta also participated in the meeting. Finally, they agreed to work in partnership with GHNI and start a small restaurant to increase their income. Six single women are ready to volunteer as cooks and helpers. We will create an agreement and start the program.

All loan money was repaid by the first group in the school program and funds are ready to give to another group. We will distribute soon. Farmers are looking forward to extending their farms.

Supporting parents with income generation has been helpful to cover the expenses for their children. It is not only building relationships with teachers but also bringing up their economic status. Mr. Karki is talking with other partners to extend the program and develop partnerships.
