One-on-One Training

Dhoker Jhara Village, India

In this quarter, we have given the villagers many lessons about health and hygiene, income generation, education, and wellness. We are in the process of casting vision for villagers, preparing them to receive it, so that they will apply it in their lives. In our particular area in Dhoker Jhara Village, it’s quite difficult to gather the whole community together, thus our method of reaching people one-on-one is working effectively. Now we have more than ten villagers who understand our vision for the model village, and with them we are working to bring some big changes.

We are encouraging these people to follow successful examples, such as *Suman. Ten years ago, he bought a goat with income from selling tomatoes. From that one goat, Suman now has 14 goats. Other villagers have never tried to follow his example. We are encouraging this group of people to follow and apply his example in their lives.

*For purposes of safety and wellbeing, “Suman” is a pseudonym for one being helped by this project.
