War Increases Refugee Population

Spitak, Armenia

The intense war in Nagorno-Karabagh continued for six weeks. The Armenian army and the whole nation fought against international terrorism. Neighbouring countries brought thousands of terrorists to fight against Armenian soldiers. We are relieved that the war in Armenia is over for now.

Increasing Health Awareness

Ɖorgovska mahala, Serbia

Life is almost returning to normal in Ɖorgovska mahala. Last month, we had home visits where I encouraged people to be self-sufficient. Their opinion that they are strong, that the virus will not reach them, and that they do not have to stay at home has slowly been changing and has led to changes in habits regarding personal hygiene and health care.

Thank you!

Travels to Teach and Train!

Spitak, Armenia

Recently, Tamara and Sam were preparing for a trip to Europe. For Armenian citizens, it is a long process to apply for EU Schengen and UK visas. They spent a whole month preparing all the necessary documents! Finally, they received all three visas for the UK but the approval process with the embassy for Switzerland took a long time. The embassy working for EU countries gave them visas in one day. The ambassador, himself, showed them favour.

Health Lessons Saving Lives

Ɖorgovska mahala, Serbia

Last month, we focused on promoting the Transformational Community Development (TCD)  focus of Health, specifically eye health. This is because people have no understanding that, even though in some cases the illness can go away without symptoms, the problem can be very serious when it is discovered too late.
