Microbusiness, Camps, and Courses Benefit Villagers

Spitak, Armenia

This month, the women have actively run their microbusiness. The tailors’ shop opened and they mend clothing, make bedding sets, and curtains. The shop is an old shipping container, which has not been used for a long time. They cleaned it, put in a new floor and some furniture. They did it with their own resources without going over budget. It is encouraging that they are learning to use the resources on hand rather than waiting for others to invest.

Women Honoured and Helped with Training

Spitak, Armenia

This year, we had a longer winter than usual. It snowed until late March. On one hand, this was good for nature and agriculture as for many years we had mostly dry winters. People in Jrashen and Spitak are ready to start their work in the fields in April. They have cabbage and potato fields ready for planting. On the other hand, it was a very difficult time, as many struggled to pay the bills for electricity and gas for heating and cooking.
