Refugees in Greece

Global Hope Network International for the past 15 years has worked to end extreme poverty in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  As you might imagine, six years ago, our work in the Middle East began to expand as refugees and displaced families fled civil unrest and conflict.  During most recent years, we began receiving families who have fled the terror of ISIL.  The painful stories shared by those escaping, are difficult to hear.  The numbers are growing daily of families entering neighboring countries seeking refuge.

Changing Beliefs for the Better

Dorgovska Mahala, Serbia

Close to my heart, this project is in my village. I am actively visiting people to establish a relationship of trust with them. I talk with them about who we are and how our goal is to work together with them on the issues in order to transform our society.

Training Seminar in Serbia

Đorgovska mahala Village, Serbia

At our Women’s Cycle of Life seminar, as part of our Community Health Education (CHE) training, we worked with women on the theme of healthy relationships. Her heart is for the extremely poor and marginalized whom she relates to daily. Well before GHNI offered to come alongside her, Snezana had been working among the poor in twenty villages in south Serbia.

Building a Home for the Homeless

House of Esther, Armenia

Before winter set in, our team descended upon the House of Esther with several boxes filled with necessary household items, tools, and building materials. The weather was nice and warm, so we worked long hours, with enthusiasm and hope, to finish as much as possible. The construction contractor, his workers, and some local friends were helping us.

Progress in Ending Extreme Poverty

By, Bethany Marinelli

The year of 2015 will go into the books as one of great change and progress for Global Hope Network International. Our staff has worked hard, both in the field in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and in our resource offices in France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

It’s difficult to truly quantify the hard work of Hidden and Hurting around the world who toiled toward a future of Hope. It is they whom we stand by in awe as they inspire us to push forward to end extreme poverty.
