Our Loan Program at Work

*JT Village, Nepal

This month, our National Director Kiran Karki talked to the Single Women’s Association leader concerning how GHNI may help them to raise their income in the village. They invited us into their meeting. They are very much interested to partner with GHNI.

New farmers seeking income generation will soon form a committee and teach the Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons in this village. This year, ten more farmers will benefit from the loan program.

We visited a new poultry farm and vegetable farm. From these farms, new farmers can learn a lot. Some of the farmers have a model farm. They have raised chickens, goats, and cows.

We will be continuing working with *JT School, supporting parents for income generation and helping their children go to school. We have built relationships with teachers. It has been very helpful to poor children. Parents’ and children’s attitudes toward school are positive. Oher new schools in the cluster village and community health post want to partner with GHNI.

Our Mr. Karki shared GHNI’s vision and TCD movement with the leaders of a national federation of Nepal.
