Pastries for Sale

Vocational Training Programme, Jordan

We recently met a Russian woman. She is living in Jordan with her 3 children, ages 14, 9, and 5. She recently lost her husband and is left to rear her children on her own here in Jordan. She was looking for a job to be able to provide for and feed her children. She isn't looking for help; she wants to work. We asked her what she can do, and she said she can make Russian pastries. She made some and sent them our way to taste them. The pastries were so good!

She was very thankful to generate some money from something she can make at her home but never thought could help her in her situation. She used the money to pay her rent.

We are still continuing our collaboration with Ani* ordering Armenian pastries, as well as continuing to order pickles, jam, and other goods from Eva*.

Thank you,

Rami
