Poplar Cuttings by the Thousands

*Valley of Ali, Afghanistan

Spring is late this year.  The ground is still covered with snow. We had hoped to distribute cuttings right after Nevroz (21 March), however the ground wasn’t ready for the new trees. Once the conditions are right, we are going to distribute tens of thousands of Poplar cuttings to local farmers. In addition, we plan to plant some kind of vegetable to our kitchen like radishes, lettuce, cucumbers, strawberries, etc.  We want to do this to demonstrate a kitchen garden that people can plant around their homes. We want to promote the culture of vegetable planting for local villagers because some people still don’t know about planting vegetables.

Thank you!
