Potato Ploughing

Jatapara Village, India

In the month of January, we were excited about the beginning of the year. In Jatapara Village, we cultivate 30% rabi crops. Rabi crops are also known as winter crops. These are the crops that are sown at the beginning of the winter season, such as wheat, pea, and mustard.

We noticed the lives of villagers were not experiencing much transformation, so we started focussing on teaching them more about expense management. Seeing this, we are teaching them to invest their income carefully to increase their profits. Doing so, the next generation could be on stronger footing in terms of Education and Income Generation. It would also allow them to help other villagers to develop their communities.

Over the last few days, we have been doing a lot of potato farming. Everything is good and fine, and we have now ploughed the field to plant potatoes. Villagers are excited about doing new works and other farming.

Thank you,
