Responding to the Beirut Explosion

On August 4th 2020, a warehouse fire detonated a large amount of explosive material stored in Beirut Port waiting to be disposed of. The aftermath has been tragic.

More than 220 people have died and 6,000 more were injured in the explosion. Three major hospitals and a number of medical facilities were destroyed. Beirut Port, Lebanon’s primary access to food and medical supplies has been destroyed.

We need your help to assist the 300,000 people who were left homeless in Beirut after the destruction in the explosion.

This disaster is affecting Lebanon at the worst time, and our friends there need help. They have already been experiencing an economic crisis and increasing inflation. The government has now resigned after protests about the explosion. Furthermore, with three major hospitals destroyed and the close proximity of the relief efforts, COVID cases are beginning to rise.

Our team on the ground shared that they are urgently trying to help clean up and rebuild. Our goal is to help 600 families. They need food and medical supplies to support these families that have lost their homes. Each gift of $50 helps provide enough to support a family for two weeks.

Would you help with a gift of $50, $100, $500, or even $5,000? Every gift helps and is important.

Will you consider helping one or more of these families engulfed in this tragedy?

Thank you for bringing Help and Hope!
