Students Await School Completion

*Sheldon Village, Afghanistan

**As’ad is a fourteen-year-old boy living in Sheldon Village. Every time the construction staff arrive to work on the school, he becomes so happy, wishing that one day soon he and his friends may attend the new school together.

Usually, when we as GHNI staff visit there, **Azzam asks questions. “Why is the work of the school not finished? When will be the inauguration?”

The construction staff is at the site, trying to finish the work on the school, but the work goes very slowly. The government supervisors ask the construction staff many of the same questions that Azzam asks us, “Why is the work of the school not finished? When will be the inauguration?” They ask the construction staff to accelerate the work and finish it as soon as possible.

As’ad and other students suffered for a long time. For example, now they do their lessons sitting in a dark, muddy house. It is the place that people keep their animals. As’ad and the other students greatly desire to be in the new school.

Thank you,

The GHNI-Afghanistan Team
