Students Eagerly Await Centre Re-Opening

Women’s Empowerment Centre, Afghanistan

It has been five months since the Women’s Empowerment Centres have been closed. Our students in the first Women’s Empowerment Centre have been helping their parents in the fields.

They are eager to start class again at the centre and attend our English and Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons.

Some of the students walked for one hour to get to the centre. Before the coronavirus outbreak, we had two different sports teams, football and volleyball. Students are enthusiastically looking forward to meeting their classmates to play football and volleyball when the restrictions are lifted.
