Taking Cleanliness Seriously

Jatapara Village, India

In Jatapara Village, there was a major problem with people throwing plastics, here and there. Last month, we saw less plastics thrown because of the awareness lessons we taught the villagers. We also taught them to keep the hand pump area clean because, if the water starts getting clogged in one place, there is a big chance of mosquitos growing in that place. Through our TCD lessons, we taught villagers to also keep the drains clean. Some of the villagers come up to clean the drains by themselves. There is no government municipality working in this area to keep it clean, so it is our duty to keep the area clean to protect ourselves from diseases.
