Water is Vital to Solving Village’s Problems

Didi Hara Village, Ethiopia

In Didi Hara Village, the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group members are working hard to change their lives and the lives of the families for which they are responsible. As it is the problem in so many villages, Didi Hara is also battling drought. So, drip irrigation is an activity that benefits these group members as well as the rest of the villagers during this difficult time.

One of the community's primary food sources is milk from the animals, but most of the animals are dying as a result of the drought. When this type of drought occurred before, we began this reliable TCD activity in this village. Many of the villagers were displaced from their homes, but now we are seeing very encouraging results and the community is well aware of this.

Thank you!
