Working to Completion

*Sheldon Village, Afghanistan

Now in the final stages of construction, the contractor company that built the school has been trying to submit the project to the Ministry of Education. It is the law in Afghanistan that every company should build schools according to the MoE plan and submit their project to the MoE. The engineers monitored the building progress regularly. Lately, I called the senior engineer to ask about work progress. He said we should work seriously to finish and submit the school. He said their engineer will go to the site once again to inspect and make sure that any issues are repaired.

Hundreds of Sheldon Village students will gather in their new school next year. It will be the first time they have a good school building in their village. In the past, these students were walking three to four hours to and from school.

Thank you,
The GHNI-Afghanistan Team
