Young Woman Graduates, Blesses Family

Spitak, Armenia

In January, as we continued our sewing class, one of our students named Nune informed us that she had found a good-paying job in a local fabric establishment. She had participated in the project for two and a half months, got the training, and when Nune was ready, she applied for that job. With the help of the training, tutor and participants, she gained assurance, discovered a lot in her character, and gained new skills. As a young woman, she felt more confident to start her new career.

Nune was born after the earthquake in Spitak and the first war in Nagorno, Karabagh. During her childhood years, there was neither electricity nor enough food in the country. She had four siblings. Their parents were diligent people and were able to provide for the five children. Now, as an adult, Nune wanted to get training to be productive. Instead of her parents still taking care of her, she wanted to work and help the family.

The “Sewing Project” team is excited about Nune's success and we believe she will set an example for others, gain more skill, and help the community to develop!

Thank you!
