Come join the team to get an inside look at our progressive Transformational Community Development (TCD) work in Thailand. Team members will be able to engage with TCD workers and community members, help in role plays during TCD lessons, and learn more about GHNI’s work in Thailand. Due to legal restrictions in the country, STT members will be observing not volunteering. This trip will highlight GHNI’s work being accomplished in Thailand. This trip will bring encouragement to local TCD workers and community members. Team members of this trip will see the work that is happening and learn about activity on location. We’ll also plan fun adventures to experience unique to Thailand, such as seeing elephants, visiting handicraft markets, and outdoor adventures.

Thailand communities are challenged, economically, socially, and politically. Our focus is to implement the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program to address the overall local poverty perception. TCD will build a perpetual sustainable environment to help improve local infrastructure, equip rural communities for severe climate changes, and provide educational needs for small business and micro enterprises. TCD will help provide hope for youth and families in conflict, as well as aim to improve relations between NGOs and the local government.
All potential GHNI development projects depend on resources and funding. These would include TCD training, education on water source quality, income opportunities, and environmental improvements.
