Dida Hara, also known as Dembelesedi, is located about 16 k m (10 mi) from the city of Yebello. The village is along a dirt road but the road travels extremely well because the king of the Borana lives in a village about 150km down the road, so the road is very well maintained.
Dida Hara is spread out over a large geographic area of ten kilometers. There are about seven clusters of huts in this area that make up Dida Hara. We chose this village because the villagers have shown the unique ability to take action when asked and they have a strong desire to better their lives.
Our objective is to implement the TCD model in the village, achieving sustainable development in the five areas of water, food, wellness, education, and income generation.
