The Village

BC Village lies in the far west in Nepal. There were about 700 families living in that place.  It made their life worse and making it harder to earn any living. So many of them left and scattered to different places. Now there are about 170 families living in the area with a poor living. They are lower caste and deprive of a basic livelihood. Their children are in a miserable condition. The people are known for entertaining by playing musical instruments and dancing for rich people. When the rich person is pleased they give some money or food for them. This is a very vulnerable group for human trafficking and abuse due to their extreme poverty.

As we visited and sit with the leader of this village they have requested to bring awareness, training income generation program, helping in their children's education and water which will help for their survival and get rid of poverty. GHNI will start TCD training in this village and help in partnership with the community to grow income generation opportunities, training, and help to improve their health and education.

Transformational Community Development©

Transformational Community Development (TCD) - This process helps villagers find their own solutions to the five areas keeping them in extreme poverty - clean, accessible water; a renewable, nutritious food source; education for children; wellness habits and regional health concerns; and income generation for families.
